Gradually hospital out-patient departments are connected to the e-card system and e-card services are extended (e.g. e-medication or electronic transfer of sick notes).
On the e-card only personal data (name, gender, insurance number, date of birth) are stored, but no health or treatment data!
In case your e-card is lost or stolen, the members of our serviceline are glad to help you. It is available under 050 124 33 11 Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm all over Austria at local charge rates.
Alternatively, you can also apply for a new e-card owing to loss, theft or damage, using our online service e-card nachbestellen. For this, you require a cellphone signature (addresses of WGKK’s offices where you can register for this service).
As soon as you notify us of the loss of your e-card, your old card will be cancelled immediately to make sure it is not used improperly. Your new e-card will be sent to you by mail as soon as possible.
If there is a change in data (address, name, title), these changes must be reported at a WGKK branch (addresses) and the relevant documents presented (e.g. marriage certificate in case of marriage).
